The Inside Scoop: 1974 V4

The Varsity 4 won second place at Stotesbury in 1974. It's not listed in the winners list. I can get you the names of the rowers and coxswain if you would like. I know this is true since I stroked the shell. We lost the cup when our #2 man caught a crab during the sprint. We had a length lead over St. Andrews at the time. Our race in the finals retained some pride for Charlie and W-L as 74 was the first year the W-L failed to qualify a Varsity 8 in the finals.
